Detailing can be very confusing, either by terminology, the steps to get your vehicle ready, and why should I go with a certain service? In this section my goal is to help you with this, to make it less stressful and of coarse easy to make a decision on service wanted.
Car shampoo is your typical car soap with out waxes or other products to enhance the shine on your car. Shampoos also have different ph levels from 7-12. The lower the ph level the safer it is towards your layer of protection such as wax or silica coatings. The higher the ph level more it removes from your vehicle surface.
I use the "two bucket" method for washing a vehicle. It is when you have one bucket with water mixed with car soap to clean. And the second bucket to rinse the wash mitt off, before you move on to another section. This method is known to help reduce the possibility of creating scratch's in your paint.
Most people refer to the term "Rims", but in the auto industry and detailing they are known as Wheels.
